We are delighted to announce that GEMKOM has developed a new generation concept in Arc Furnace Steel making: FESCON (“Furnace Energy Saving System & Continuous Charging”)
FESCON is in operating in KARDEMİR ÇELİK SANAYİ A.Ş. (İzmir, Turkiye). The primary performance achieved with a 100 ton FESCON EAF is:
289,90 kWh/t lowest electrical consumption recorded
100 kWh/t average energy saving compared to conventional EAF
0.98 kg/t best value of electrode consumption
With these numbers, we have set a new world record in the lowest energy consumption! As GEMKOM, we are extremely satisfied and proud with the result achieved!
